Raspberry Pi OS September update adds new dock, revamped desktop controls

The September update of Raspberry Pi OS adds a dock with app launcher and window list plugins to the wf-panel-pi panel, revamps Control Centre, introduces a new screenshot tool and monolithic file manager pcmanfm-pi 1.6. The system moves to Linux kernel 6.18.50 LTS, and Wayfire compositor support is removed in favor of Labwc.

• wf-panel-pi 1.31 adds dock and plugins wfplug-imenu 0.9 and wfplug-wlist 0.8
• Control Centre gets Dock, Widgets, Notifications and Shortcuts panels
• New pcmanfm-pi 1.6 merges PCManFM and libfm; auto-mounting external drives disabled by default
• Kernel updated to Linux 6.18.50 LTS, Wayfire no longer supported
