UK CMA proposes search choice screens and AI assistant rules for Google and Android OEMs

The UK's Competition and Markets Authority proposed rules requiring Google and Android device makers to show a search choice screen on first use and via yearly prompts. It would also require smartphone makers to give users a choice of AI assistants.
