Microsoft releases Windows Developer Config to set up Windows 11 with one command

Microsoft open-sourced Windows Developer Config, a tool that turns a fresh Windows 11 install into a ready-to-code machine with a single PowerShell command. It runs 50 steps across 11 phases: installing 15 winget packages (VS Code, .NET SDK 10, Python 3.14, PowerToys, WSL with Ubuntu) and applying 24 registry changes including Developer Mode, Windows Sudo and Win32 long-path support. Setup takes about 30 minutes and requires one reboot.
