Microsoft adds AI video upscaling to Clipchamp on Windows 11

On September 21, 2026, Microsoft added an AI upscaling tool called Video Super Resolution to the Clipchamp Windows app, converting low-resolution clips to 1080p or 4K locally without cloud uploads. Processing runs on the CPU or, on Copilot+ PCs, an NPU from AMD, Intel or Qualcomm; the feature is unavailable in the browser version.
