Intrinsic open sources key parts of its robotics platform
Intrinsic, an Alphabet unit, released Intrinsic Core, an open-source set of ROS-compatible capabilities for building robotic applications under the Apache 2.0 license. The release includes the Intrinsic Control real-time framework, Nvidia FoundationPose-based 6 DoF pose estimation, motion and grasp planning, Gazebo simulation, and camera calibration.
- Intrinsic Core is available on GitHub under the Apache 2.0 license
- Built around Intrinsic Control, a hardware-agnostic real-time framework
- 6 DoF pose estimation uses Nvidia FoundationPose
- Simulation runs on Gazebo with pre-configured ROS drivers
