Intel reportedly working with AUO on microLED panels with embedded chips

According to Economic Daily, Intel is partnering with AU Optronics on embedding semiconductor chips into microLED glass substrates. Intel has obtained a US patent for an "IC Package with Micro LEDs"; integrating the display control chip into the panel could cut costs for microLED, which currently runs into tens of thousands of dollars.
