Google-backed Texas battery pilot shifts 9.2GWh for hourly clean energy matching

Google, Quintrace, esVolta and LevelTen Energy released results of a three-month Texas battery storage pilot: batteries charged and discharged 9.2GWh, shifting solar energy to hours when Google's consumption exceeded its renewable supply. esVolta's Anole (240MW/480MWh) and Burksol (100MW/200MWh) projects took part without dispatch risk for operators.
