IBM and ETH Zurich to build quantum computer in Lugano

IBM and ETH Zurich will build a quantum computer at the Swiss National Supercomputing Center (CSCS) in Lugano, expected to be operational by the end of 2026. The system will use IBM's Quantum Nighthawk r2 processor with 120 qubits and work alongside the Alps supercomputer.
