TDK to acquire metal 3D printing firm Fabric8Labs for up to $400M

Tokyo-based electronics maker TDK has agreed to acquire San Diego's Fabric8Labs, which develops metal 3D printing technology, for up to $400 million in cash. The deal, subject to regulatory approval, will support TDK's data center business, including thermal management, power components and semiconductor packaging.
