Prysmian, Rio Tinto to supply Amazon Ohio data center with low-carbon aluminum

Prysmian and Rio Tinto have partnered to supply an Amazon data center in Ohio with low-carbon aluminum electrical cables. The aluminum is produced by Elysis, a Rio Tinto-Alcoa joint venture, using inert anodes that emit oxygen instead of greenhouse gases. Prysmian will make the cables at its Sedalia, Missouri plant, marking the first use of such aluminum in a data center.
