India should design and manufacture chips for everyday products: Vaishnaw

Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said India should design and manufacture chips for cars, TVs, refrigerators and energy within five years. The second phase of the semiconductor program has been allocated 1.27 trillion rupees, with investors expressing interest in another 1 trillion rupees.
