Second Life adds Luau scripting and Visual Studio Code integration
Linden Lab is bringing SLua, a scripting system built on Roblox's Luau, to Second Life along with Visual Studio Code integration and live in-world testing. The legacy Linden Scripting Language stays, and Lua and LSL scripts can coexist in the same object. Second Life has roughly 700,000 monthly active users.
- SLua is based on Roblox's Luau; C#, JavaScript and WebAssembly were rejected
- Visual Studio Code integration and live in-world script iteration
