Keurig Alta: $499.99 brewer with biodegradable AltaRounds coffee pucks

Keurig has launched the Alta Coffee and Espresso Maker at $499.99, which brews new biodegradable compressed-coffee AltaRounds instead of plastic K-Cups. The machine also accepts K-Cups and features a touchscreen, a camera that reads each pod's QR code, and a steam wand with automatic milk frothing.

• Priced at $499.99 and ships with four packs of AltaRounds
• Pods are fully biodegradable and leave no plastic waste
• Camera reads the pod's QR code and suggests brewing recipes
• Works with K-Cups too; steam wand auto-froths milk
