Korea Zinc targets US chip materials market with ultra-pure sulfuric acid

Korea Zinc discussed supplying ultra-high-purity sulfuric acid for semiconductors with Micron, Intel and GlobalFoundries at SEMICON West 2026. Micron agreed to review cooperation on quality and price and to explore germanium as well. The Project Crucible plan would produce acid above 99.9999% purity at a US integrated smelter.
