Otto Group deploys Sereact AI robots to sort e-commerce returns
Otto Group and Sereact have put ten dual-arm robots running the Cortex physical AI model to work at a logistics centre in Poland, inspecting and sorting returned orders. If the pilot holds up, 15 more arms will follow for a fleet of 25 and Otto will weigh a network-wide rollout.
- Pilot starts with 10 robots, scaling to 25 arms if early results hold
- Cortex handles unseen items, deciding grasps and condition in real time
- Training uses Nvidia Isaac Sim, Isaac Lab and Cosmos, with post-training on Blackwell GPUs
- Robots run as a service while Otto staff move to supervision and quality checks
