8BitDo Ultimate 3E review: a $150 premium Xbox controller

The Verge tested 8BitDo's first premium controller, the $150 Ultimate 3E for Xbox and PC. It offers drift-proof TMR sticks, swappable button and stick modules, rear paddles and a 1,000Hz polling rate, but the outlet says the price is hard to justify against cheaper rivals.

• Ultimate 3E costs $150 and ships with a case and charging dock
• TMR sticks resist drift; 1,000Hz polling works only on PC
• Includes swappable button modules, two D-pads and three extra sticks
• The Verge: pricey versus GameSir G7 Pro at $80 and Ultimate 3 at $99
