Chrome for Android preps vertical tabs and a compact omnibox

Code in Chrome 156 for Android reveals unannounced features: vertical tabs for tablets, a compact mini-Omnibox, remote task handoff from Gemini apps and a "Close all tabs" option that keeps pinned tabs. All are off by default and controlled server-side by Google.

• Chrome 156 adds a "Tab position" settings page with Horizontal and Vertical options for tablets
• The clank-mini-omnibox flag enables a shorter address bar with dense typography
• Tasks started in other Gemini apps, including gemini.google.com, can run in Chrome on a phone
• "Close all tabs" will leave pinned tabs open, with a checkbox to close them too
