Samsung adds WeChat Pay support to Wallet in China

Samsung, Tencent and Woori Bank have enabled WeChat Pay in the Wallet app on Galaxy smartphones. South Korean travelers can pay at Chinese merchants via QR code without a local account or currency exchange fees, earning 0.3% cashback in Samsung Wallet Points. Credit card linking and NFC tap-to-pay are planned for Q1 2027.
