OpenAI launches GPT-6.1 Sol: near-Astra performance at a fifth of the price

OpenAI introduced GPT-6.1 Sol, a model that approaches GPT-6 Astra on agentic coding, computer use and professional tasks at one-fifth of Astra's token prices: $2 per 1M input and $10 per 1M output tokens versus $10 and $50. It is generally available on Amazon Bedrock since September 29, 2026, with IAM access control, CloudTrail auditing and isolated inference.
