Oracle adds semantic layer to ground AI agents in business context

Oracle expanded its Autonomous AI Lakehouse with a Business Semantic Layer that gives AI agents consistent business definitions via catalog annotations, SQL annotations, and AI-suggested analytic views. It also launched a Business Simulation Engine built on Essbase and expanded Apache Iceberg support; the new capabilities will arrive within 12 months.
