RIKEN keeps silicon qubit fidelity above 99.99% under parallel control
Researchers at RIKEN and collaborators demonstrated high-fidelity simultaneous control of five silicon spin qubits sharing one microwave line. They traced errors to the AC Stark shift and compensated with pairwise calibration, keeping fidelity above 99.99% with three qubits and about 99.9% with all five.
- Five qubits on a shared microwave line reached about 99.9% fidelity in parallel operation
- Individually, each qubit exceeded 99.99%, with the best near 99.999%
- AC Stark shift errors were offset by calibration between qubit pairs
- Residual errors stem from drive-induced decoherence at higher microwave power
