Nvidia unveils OOI optics-on-interposer prototype for post-2028 AI systems
Nvidia showed a prototype of its Optics-on-Interposer (OOI) co-packaged optics technology at SEMICON West 2026. The approach targets AI accelerators after 2028, when copper interconnects are expected to hit bandwidth limits.
