Nvidia and Cisco unveil USFP optics for AI factories
Nvidia and Cisco have developed USFP, a new optical transceiver form factor supporting 400 Gb/s per lane and up to 12.8 Tb/s capacity. It offers four times the bandwidth density of current 200 Gb/s-per-lane modules with roughly 1.3x better power efficiency. First transceivers will pack 16 full-duplex lanes into an OSFP-sized footprint.
