Cisco: copper inside AI racks will give way to optics
Cisco says copper links inside AI racks will not keep up with rising signaling speeds and will be replaced by optics within a few years. The company, with Nvidia, is pushing the USFP module at 400 Gbps per lane — four times denser than OSFP 1.6T and 30% more power-efficient.
