Cloudflare One Gateway outage lasted 3 hours but never tripped uptime monitors

On October 20, 2026, traffic through Cloudflare One Gateway failed for 3 hours 14 minutes whenever an identity policy was present in the access decision. Synthetic checks against api-control, dns-1111 and edge-data in EU and NA logged 100% uptime over 24 hours and 7 days because they never exercised the broken code path. A second incident saw 41 minutes of Bot Management false positives.
