ixigo builds AI agent layer as agentic travel payments go live

Indian travel aggregator ixigo said in its Q2 FY27 earnings that it is building its own agentic layer, ixigo NEXT, on in-house small language models. The company is also a launch partner for agentic payments via Amazon Pay Smart Wallet and NPCI. Technology spend rose 46% year-on-year to Rs 14.3 crore, while adjusted EBITDA fell 17% to Rs 23.6 crore.
