GM adds Tesla Sentry Mode-style OnStar Connected Cameras

GM unveiled OnStar Connected Cameras, a surveillance feature that uses the car's existing cameras to capture incidents and upload clips to the upcoming OnStar app. Clips include about 30 seconds before and after an event, and a 30-second recording is made if the theft alarm triggers. The feature rolls out via OTA to select vehicles, including full-size SUVs and Cadillacs, with the app launching in 2027.
