Airbnb bans hosts from requiring checkout chores like dishes and laundry

Airbnb will bar hosts from making guests wash dishes, do laundry or haul garbage off-site at checkout starting November 20, 2026. The rules apply to bookings made on or after that date and must be disclosed before reservation. Repeat violators face warnings and lower search visibility.
