FIDO sets out certification framework for digital identity wallets

The FIDO Alliance has advanced its digital identity wallet certification program with two technical frameworks: the Credential Manager Reference Architecture, covering storage and presentation of digital credentials, and a Verifier ID framework for verifying services that request user data. Both documents are expected to be published in the coming weeks, with specific profiles planned for government identity, payments, workforce credentials and travel.
