Bundestag passes digital identity wallet law; d-you launches January 2, 2027

Germany's Bundestag approved the Digitale Identitätengesetz, the legal framework for the state-issued d-you EUDI Wallet launching January 2, 2027. At launch it will lack pseudonymous login, so every interaction reveals the user's full civil identity to commercial services.

• Pseudonymous login is mandatory under eIDAS 2.0 but has no target date
