iOS 27 adds Impersonation Risk Detection anti-scam feature

iOS 27 introduces an opt-in Impersonation Risk Detection feature that lets banking and payment apps request a real-time risk assessment from Apple before sensitive actions. Apple returns Unknown, Medium or High risk levels, while the app decides how to respond.

• Feature is off by default and enabled in Settings → Privacy and Security
• Apps receive only the risk level, not the underlying signals
• An Unknown rating does not confirm the action is safe
• Effectiveness depends on developer adoption and responses
