Mafab to give up its 5G spectrum as Nigeria starts a bigger clean-up

Mafab Communications plans to transfer 2×20 MHz in the 2.1 GHz band and 100 MHz in the 3.5 GHz band to MTN Nigeria. The deal is pending approval from regulator NCC, which is reviewing unused frequencies. In 2021, Mafab paid $273.6 million for its 5G license.
