Orange mobile outage cuts calls and data across France
Orange's mobile network went down across France on Wednesday from about 11:20 CEST, leaving customers unable to call, text or use mobile data. The operator did not name a cause and said technical teams were working to restore service; Sosh and some 5G home boxes were also affected, while most fibre lines kept working.
- Downdetector logged about 12,000 reports at noon versus around nine on a normal day
- Users reported problems in Paris, Lyon, Toulouse, Marseille, Lille, Bordeaux and Strasbourg
- Some phones regained signal around 12:20 CEST, though coverage stayed patchy
- It is at least the third Orange mobile outage in 2026
