Meta Gives Free Ray-Ban AI Glasses to Blind US Veterans

Meta has been providing Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses free to roughly 130,000 legally blind US veterans since June. The glasses read labels and identify objects by voice, connecting users to Be My Eyes volunteers when AI falls short. Privacy lawsuits and reports of contractor review of user footage remain unresolved.
