Smart Africa moves Benin, Ghana and Rwanda digital ID toward live testing

Benin, Ghana and Rwanda have connected their national identity systems to Smart Africa's Data Exchange platform and are preparing real-world tests of cross-border ID verification. No date for the pilot has been announced; the effort runs under the Smart Africa Trust Alliance formed in 2023.
