Ghana awards 5G licenses to Telecel and MTN after monopoly model fails
Ghana scrapped Next Gen Infraco's exclusive wholesale 5G concession over rollout delays and granted spectrum licenses to Telecel Group and MTN Group. Telecel took three 2.3 GHz lots and plans a December launch, while MTN bought two 700 MHz and three 3 GHz lots at about $100 million per 15-year license.
