Ghana Card digital wallet to enable bank transfers and mobile money payments

Ghana's national ID card will gain an e-wallet feature letting users link bank accounts and load mobile money balances. The rollout will be phased, with biometrics and a PIN securing payments. From November, compulsory biometric verification and a ban on ID photocopying take effect.
