Hyundai Rotem to acquire Hyundai Wia defense unit for 358.4 billion won

Hyundai Rotem's board approved the purchase of Hyundai Wia's Special Business Division for 358.39 billion won (~$269.1 million). The deal consolidates artillery and ground weapons production under Hyundai Rotem, with closing targeted by March 31, 2027, pending a Hyundai Wia shareholder vote on Nov. 27.
