Single microwave line drives five silicon spin qubits at 99.9% fidelity
Researchers at RIKEN and collaborators operated five silicon spin qubits through a single microwave control line while keeping gate fidelity at or above 99.9%. They traced the interference to the AC Stark shift and compensated for it using pairwise calibrations. The study was published in Nature Physics.
- Five electron-spin qubits in a silicon/silicon-germanium device share one control line
- With all five operating in parallel, gate fidelities stay at or above 99.9%
- Interference traced to the AC Stark shift and offset via pairwise calibration
- The approach could enable modules of about ten qubits per shared line
