Former Windows boss calls Windows 11 taskbar unusable after 26H2
Mikhail Parakhin, former head of Windows and Bing at Microsoft, called the Windows 11 taskbar "unusable" even after the 26H2 update. The taskbar can now be moved, but auto-hide doesn't work when it's at the top or sides, and its size can't be adjusted manually.
- Parakhin: auto-hide fails and size can't be changed, so it's "not usable yet"
- Moving the taskbar requires Settings, with no drag-and-drop like Windows 10
- The 26H2 update shipped September 29 and enabled previously delivered features
- Windows 10 allowed dragging the taskbar and auto-hiding it on any edge
