BMW starts Gen6 EV battery production in Shenyang, China

BMW Group has begun series production of sixth-generation high-voltage batteries in Shenyang, China, for locally built Neue Klasse EVs. The new cylindrical cells offer over 20% higher energy density, up to 30% more range and faster charging. Shenyang is the third site in BMW's global Gen6 battery network after Hungary and Germany.
