CATL starts trial runs at 100 GWh EV battery plant in Debrecen

CATL has begun trial cell production at its Debrecen plant in Hungary, with two lines now being tested after the site secured all permits, including an occupancy permit in August 2026. Once complete, the 100 GWh facility will be the company's largest manufacturing base outside China, supplying European automakers.
