Secret Service taps AI for investigations and facial recognition, official says

Secret Service CIO and CAIO Chris Kraft said AI helps the agency investigate and monitor threats, which have topped 10,000 since January — up more than 40% from last year. The agency already uses facial recognition and license plate matching, and is embedding AI specialists across its operations.
