CS2 pro banned for life over match-fixing tied to $4.5M bet

ESIC handed a lifetime ban to NOMERCY player Oliver 'kzy' Heck after a match-fixing investigation into the team's run at Roman Imperium Cup VII in March. A roughly $57,000 accumulator bet with a potential payout above $4.5 million targeted -9.5 round handicaps across all four matches, and every result matched.

• kzy got a lifetime ban; four NOMERCY teammates received 3- to 5-year bans
• NOMERCY lost all four matches, winning just five rounds combined
• The ~$57,000 accumulator bet had a potential payout over $4.5 million
• The bookmaker voided the wager and the payout never materialized
