382 translations crash Android apps: census of 1.26M strings on F-Droid

An audit of 4,476 F-Droid repositories found 382 translations with broken printf placeholders, 250 of which are reachable in app code. The most common mistakes are stray percent signs, malformed indexes like % 1 $ s, and translated conversion letters.
