Firebase iOS crash: green dashboards, broken apps

On September 28 a malformed Firebase config rolled out to a wide set of iOS apps, crashing them on launch while status dashboards stayed green. Rollback finished in 2 hours 11 minutes, but the postmortem gives no app count.
