AWS launches Lambda Web Functions: HTTP servers with real concurrency
AWS introduced Lambda Web Functions, a new function type where you deploy a plain HTTP server (Express, Hono, Fastify) instead of an event handler. Each execution environment serves up to 128 concurrent requests (64 by default), and billing covers only active CPU time. Available in five regions on Node.js 24 and Arm64.
- Each environment serves up to 128 concurrent requests, 64 by default
