LG Energy Solution targets 2027 sodium-ion battery launch

LG Energy Solution has set up a sodium-ion battery pilot line at its Ochang plant in South Korea and plans to test about 30 MWh of storage systems with North American customers by the first half of 2027. Commercialization is targeted for 2027, starting with automotive auxiliary batteries, UPS and stationary energy storage.
