Hanwha's K9MH wheeled howitzer gets US Army designation XM1776

The US Army has assigned the designation XM1776 to Hanwha Aerospace's K9MH wheeled self-propelled howitzer, referencing the year of US independence. The name was unveiled at AUSA 2026 in Washington, D.C., after Hanwha won the MTC prototype contract in August and delivered its first unit this month.
