Microsoft retires 73 Azure Pipelines tasks on October 15: how to find them

On October 15, 2026 Microsoft retires 73 built-in task versions in Azure DevOps Services, including CopyFiles@1, AzureCLI@0 and DotNetCoreCLI@1. The tasks keep running with a non-failing retirement error until March 15, 2027, when they are removed and pipelines referencing them fail. Of the 73 versions, 2 have drop-in replacements, 24 need input changes, 27 require manual migration and 20 have no replacement.
